I noticed today that next to thet in 1.8t on the trunk of my '01, there is a small red flag type of thing. I thought I had read somewhere that these mean something but I can't remember where or what. I ran a search on the search engine but I didn't find anything of much help. Does anyone know what these flags mean?

 

All 1.8T's for 2001 had the red flag. It is to signify that your car has the K03 Sport Turbo with 170hp, as opposed to 150hp of the earlier B5's. Your car has the same HP as B6 A4's. once an '01 and earlier B5's are chipped, they are almost even, with the slight advantage in HPto the '01's
