Pretty much, you'll have the sport wheel, but most non-sport cars have it anyways (you could get it alone as an option I guess)

But yeah, the suspension is a lot better... 20mm lower, bigger swaybars front and rear... and in 01 you get some pretty sweet RS4 17" wheels if you've got sport. They are nice wheels!

Are you talking about the red T or the silver T with the red shadow?

I have a 2001 with the option code for sport suspension and it has the silver T with red shadow. I also have the 16" wheels.

This page doesn't show 17" wheels either http://ctny.audiworld.com/mark/a4/diff/ was it an option? They also didn't use 2001 pics for the rear end as the badges show no red, but they do say it should have a red mark on the 2001.

And whats all this talk about 01.5? I haven't seen anything saying they're different than a regular 01. And how can you tell if its a .5?

its the half yeah for 01.5. that means that you have the 170hp engine instead of the 150hp.
ehh cant say its true. i believe that audi converted with to the 170 with their 00 models. red t is just the sport emblem. had it on my car. a4 01.5
its true buddy. youre wrong. red t is NOT sport emblem, it is the indication for the 170hp engine introduecd in the 2001.5 model year. you had it on your car because it was a 2001.5 1.8t. the 2000's were still the 150 hp. kinda bugs me when people call others out on stuff they dont know the facts about.

Yep, I have a 2001.5 1.8T, 170hp, non sport with the red emblem. I always thought it was for the sport model too until I realized I wasn't actually on the sport springs, I'm on the regular black springs (the sport springs are red, aren't they?).

What I had always heard what that the 2001+ model 1.8T has VVT, resulting in the extra 20hp, and that the 01.5+ engine has a K03 sport turbo instead of the K03, or something like that. To be honest though, I have no idea if this is correct, so sorry if this bugs you miked. I think I'm gonna ask my mechanic when I see him monday (he teaches physics at my highschool).

Whatever it is, its not Sport Pkg.

I have direct sensory experience of this fact.

the 20HP increase was from vvt (variable valve timing) and increased boost...it started in 01 i believe, not 01.5...and the 17" RS4s were an option starting in 00

the red-shadowed 't' means you have an 01 (or an 01.5, either one), and that you have 170HP instead of the old 150HP....there is no red 't', just the shaded one.
