Hey everyone. I just filled up my car and for the first time noticed the sticker on the inside of the gas cover that says I should put 91 octane in. I can understand the need for this if I had the turbo, but I have the 3.0 v6. Do you guys put 91 in your cars? Is it even necessary?

 

nope you dont have to but what kind of a questions is that dude and what is the reason you want to put regular in your audi?? it slows your performance and the lifetime of the engine parts. whyyyyyyyyyyy????do u think aboutputting regular!

 

Yeah... use what the car asks you to. Audi doesn't have a stake in the oil profits... they are telling you to use premium for a reason.

tip5, what testpipe do you have and do you have cel's all the time?

 

you will notice crap goin' on if you don't use premium...at least 91 or up. if there's a gas station near you that sells higher...go there.

 

Use premium. You save what... like 3 dollars every fill up if you use lower grade? Why even consider lower grade?
I use 94 oct at Sunoco.
