I don't know what year you guys are driving..but my 98' doesn't have cup holders. It has these plastic things in the center console behind the stick-shift..and..well..they want to be cup holders but they were beaten with the stupid stick too many times [sm=icon_beat.gif].

I sometimes wish I did have cupholders, but then I think about all the crap that could spill in my car and then I feel better about having the wanna-be plastic thingies that might be cupholders but aren't.

Yeah you take a turn at 3 mph and your drink falls out of those "cup holders"

Cupholders??!!!
Who has cupholders??
You mean those little cutouts under the center console and that flip-out plastic frame that I use for my cell phone?

Wow! Who allows any liquid into the interior of their car - except a little glass cleaner?
Jeesh... drink your soda or coffee before you leave the house - you're supposed to be driving the car not having lunch!

LOL!!! Spoken like a true German, ImolaS4.
Germans are, for the most part, against any eating or drinking while driving, which is why German cars that DO have cup holders look like they were designed by someone who has no clue as to what a Super Big-Gulp is, and would never dream of actually driving with one. While the mummified french-fries are standard equipment in just about any used car in America, I bet you wouldn't find too many used cars in Germany littered with fragments of Happy Meals.

Ouch, you just described my previous car; a 92 Camry LE V6 which I retired with 320,000 miles on the odometer, and 12 years of petrified chicken McNuggets under the seats.

I too love to drive, but it is 75 miles each way to work and back and I need to leave before 6 AM to beat the traffic.
I need some room for my 7/11 coffee; otherwise I would likely doze off and wrap my car around a tree.
