I got an Audi A4 Quattro a couple of days ago and when i got it from the dealer the remote wasnt working. I went back and told them and they said all i have to do is buy the batteries. I went and bought the batteries but the remote still doesnt work. I read sumwhere there was a way to reprogram it. Can anybody help me, or atleast help me find information?

had the same problem...brought my car to a local dealer and some tech guy came out to my car, opened my door...did 30 seconds of secretive button pressing and in literrally 1 min my remotes worked

i believe uncut programmable keys run between 60-80 bucks on ebay..might wanna check that out if u want a spare

 

yeah I picked up my uncut switchblade fob for 60 bucks on ebay. It does require two keys, what hapened to your other one?

 

When i got the car the salesman said he was gonna order one, but when i got back he said he never said that so i left. he said most of his cars didnt have spares. i got mad and left.

 

also where can u have the key cut? any suggestions i doubt any home depot does them!!

 

My dealer cut mine for 5 bucks. Most dealers charge like 20-30 though.
