i did it a few months ago..

you need: hair dryer, goo gone, fishing line or dental floss

1. let the car sit in the sun for a while to warm up the metal (not necessary, but helps)
2. turn dryer on high and hold it real close to the badge for several minutes
3. apply goo gone
4. use floss in a sawing motion to remove badge
5. remove excess (some gooey stuff might be left on the car)
6. repeat for other badges

you might have to apply goo gone several times, and make sure to clean your car real good after the debadging. it will look sweet trust me you'll love it!

i still have marks from where my 2.8l quattro badge was.....i goo goned it like 5 times the day i debadged and after numerous washings/sitting outside(fading)...its still there. You can't see it from a distance...but if you get close and look where the badge used to be...you can see dull black marks.

yeah, depending on your car color, that might show up. i had some of that on my car (red) but i was able to get it off. if you have that problem, just keep on with the dryer/goo gone and scrubbing. then wax and buff the hell out of it, you should be ok.
