Default Removing the clutch master cylinder?

Does anyone know of a easy way to removed the clutch master cylinder? Im trying to replace mine but its not going so easy. Is everything done from inside the cabin or do you need to go under the car/hood to remove the 2 hoses?

Removing clutch master cylinder:
(1) Remove the reservoir cap for the fluid container
(2) Drain the brake fluid to minimum level. Place fluids in a container.
(3) Using a ten millimeter open wrench, you need to remove the clutch pipe line connected to the master cylinder body
(4) Turn the wrench counter clockwise to remove.
(5) Once the screw is removed, pull the pipe line out.
(5) There are 2 screws that connect the master cylinder to the car's firewall. remove these nuts and take out the clutch master cylinder using a 12 millimeter hexagon socket.

I'm having the hardest time with something that should be easy to do. I usually work on Fords or Mazdas.

i did get the two screws removed underneath the dash. I've removed the ecu and set it aside but the hydraulic tube coming out doesn't seem to use a normal hex fitting so I don't know how to remove it, do I need a special tool? The only video I've been able to find shows them taking a pin out of a rubber grommet. I don't see anything like this on the 1998 A4 Quattro I'm trying to fix. So have it loose but it's still quite attached. I have downloaded an Audi manual but the instructions are excessively terse and they don't have pictures, just very cheap drawings
