Default removing a pillar

Ive been searching all over but i couldn't find any guides on how to remove the a pillar (drivers side) in a 99 a4. Is there a way to get it off without having to remove the whole front dash? I don't want to just pry it off in fear of breaking something.

yea.. pull back the door molding, there are 4 clips i belave they are a bitch to get off, i used a screw driver and pryed from the top, pushed the screw driver down about 2 inches and just tried to pop out the top clip.. once you get the top clip out you can just used your fingers and pull the rest of if off just take your time and be very very gentle

Another good thing to use is a surgical glove over the flathead, that way you still have the use of the angle of the head, but with having ot worry about scratching stuff up. Also you get good grip with the glove.
