Default request for engine bay picture

ive search and search. does anyone have any engine pictures including battery without the cover.

thanks for the picture. ok heres the question for you. you might be able to answer this question for me. look at the postive side of the battery. you have the postive wire for the whole car and then you have a blue wire and red wire that is bolted down by a 10 mm bolt. WHAT IS THE RED WIRE FOR?

Unless I am completely wrong you can't ground a battery using the positive side of it. IDK just a thought.

I think that wire is for the alarm system or it could be something else. Does your car have any aftermarket electrical stuff in it? Take a pic and post it here or follow the wire and see where it goes.

well the red wire that is connected to the postive side of the battery runs into the firewall. the wire is red and theres a black plastic cover around the wire.

Sounds to me liketheprevious ownerprobably ran a power line for an aftermarketaudio poweramplifier.

yaaa, you never want to touch the red wire to the car. the negative side is the ground and runs through the entire frame of the car. thats y when u jump a car, you clip the negative one to the car and the red one to the battery

you dont ground the positive. ya the other red wire would be for something aftermarket like a sound system or anything that needs direct batter power
