Revo or APR
So basically i did a lot of reasearch into the APR ECU Upgrade for my Audi A4 2007 2.0 just to have the shop that i was going to tell me that all they do is REVO upgrades. They tell me that it will give me more hp than APR and that it is better. Are they correct or do they just want to sell me their product instead, what are the differences and are there any known problems down the road with either of these.
Thanks
Thanks

will do, they tell me that the warranty is unaffected by the REVO though. I read something about it being undetectable and such.

But i wouldn't worry about it, the dealers don't really check for it, un-less something crazy happens like you blow the motor then they might look into it.
Nah, most mechanics want to get paid, they could give a flying f*** whether its chipped or not. I deliberately fixed cars that i know were chipped, audi expects us to report if the car is chipped or not, but on my crappy *** pay..........they can blow it out their *** as for as im concerned.
There are a couple hard core techs you might have to watch out for, but 90% of the time its no big deal. Audi actually released a private TSB for identifing chipped software a few months back, most of us threw it in the trash.

Its up to the technician, if he reports it to audi the powertrain warranty is completely voided.
This has only happened once at my dealer though after a guy with a 4.2L S4 blew the motor at 14k on the odometer. That kinda crap throws up a red flag, it turns out he over reved the motor and smacked the valves into the pistons. $28,000 repair bill not covered.
