Default Revo Chips

Anybody used them? I'm looking to get my 1.8t done by them, might try out their 5 hour free trial this weekend and see what it's like.

Anything better out there for less money though?

Try out the free 5 hour demo. See how you like it ..
If you can afford it , go APR or GIAC.
I like my APR

Yeah i'm from UK so the APR and the GIAC aren't for me.

The 5 hour trial is timed, they flash the ECU with their software then it sets a counter, 5 hours of having the engine running later the software will revert back to stock factory settings.

It's 195bhp and 225lbs/ft which doesn't sound bad to me.

Hi Paul, i had the Upsolute chip on my old Golf turbo, it was amazing - 197bhp @ 199lb/ft for just £305 including fitting at your home/ work
I'm going to book my A4 to have the chip done in the next week or so as it's a lot cheaper than other chips at £500 + fitting (and you have to go to them)
Simon Coe is the fitting agent for Upsolute in the UK - email simon@ccctech.co.uk and he'll send you the figures

Hi,

I have a 02 1.8TQ and I tried the 5 hrs trial for Revo chip. For some reason it's not that impressive as compared to revo chip on Golf or Jetta. It doesn't give that feeling of 200hps. Do u know if that's just the issue to all quadro a4, or are A4 slower than Golf and Jetta?

Thanks

A4's are heavier than Golfs and Jettas therefore slower. "Quattro" (not quadro) will also make the car a little slower because there's more unsprung weight and more mass for the engine to turn.
