I got a '02 A4 (1.8T) and it seems to have some serious road noise at times ... not sure if it is just the nature of the car, the low pro tires, bearings, etc.

Anyone else have this problem? Is it common?

 

well if its only sometimes its probably not your wheel bearing, id go with the tires, i had dunlops on my car and on particular streches of roads thered be alot of road noise, when i got new tiresi ended up getting sigma's (cheap brand i guess) and on the same roads id get road noise but alot less than the dunlops.

 

Even though my tires have high miles, the road noise seems overwhelming.I havestock 17 inch wheels. Anyone have contiPro Continentals experiencing similar issues?

 

ive got low pro pirellis that came with the car when i bought it and i have a lot of road noise also. I also have a loud whistle which is really starting to **** me off but thats another story.
