nononononono... ok... the only time you will have a problem... is when you have staggered rims... like 16" in the front and 17" is the back... dont worry your car will be fine as long as you have 18"s all the way around...

I am well aware that it is the diameter that matters... I said that in my post.
My point, is that you have to find a tire with the same circumference...
a 225/40/18 up front... and maybe a 245/35/18 in the rear? or a 255/35/18? I dunno. Just use tirerack.com specs and find two tires that will fit... that will have the same diameter.

I run a staggered setup... sort of. Just different offsets... I run 17x8.5 all 4 corners, with 235/45/17's.

I rolled my fenders with a special tool used for it, but I think what headshok said would work to. Just make sure you heat up the paint so it does not crack.

I don't think you will have to roll your fenders with 17's though. How low are you? What suspension are you running?

Who says you need to roll your fenders? I had 18x11 on my 944 and with the correct spacers there was no need to do anything of the sort.

Yeah, but that was your 944 bud... haha I cant believe you are using that as a comparison!
It doesnt take much before you have to roll the fenders on an a4... I run 235 45 17s and I gotta roll them...
