I can't speak highly enough of the Ross-tech guys. I volunteered yesterday to run a few tests for them on my B7 with my old serial adapter/software. For 10 minutes of my time they were gracious enough to send me a brand new HEX-COM+CAN Interface! That’s $329.00 bucks for ten minutes! Seriously, this company is great.

If anyone wants my obdtool let me know. It works great for the B5, but does not do everything for the B6/B7 (because of the can-bus and dual K lines).

you guys no where vag com plugs into my b5. I can see where it should go in the rear cupholder and there is a plastic cut out in the shape of the vag com adapter but there is no electrical plug behind it.

 

What year B5 do you have?

 

Left knee area on my car. Yea Ross-tech is GREAT!! Plus Andy went to my school But yea the price of the vag-com is very easily justified by the customer service alone. They will answer any question you have.
