When I owned by previous BMW's, all of the owners on their forums raved about Royal Purple as if it were one of the best motor oils on the planet. I'd also love to know if anyone in the Audi world has experience with this brand.

Amsoil all the way. A bit on the expensive side but definitely worth it, the car runs noticeably smoother and after 5k its still looks fresh.

+1 for Amsoil.. But Royal Purple is good stuff too. Those and Mobil 1 are the best.
I use amsoil 5w40 euro car formula.

The only place i know of to get it is at a store called Andersons. Im not sure if its a local store only or nationwide.. You could always order it from their website.. https://www.amsoil.com/StoreFront/afl.aspx
