run of luck
talk about a really crappy run of luck, im in the military stationed over here in kuwait,my wife is in cali, and i get a phone call from her telling me that she got into an accident with her car. I hate cali drivers sometimes, some lady cut her off in an suv and break checked her, and my wifes neon went under the rear, shes ok but feels shitty. so she decides to drive my 2001.5 a4 1.8t im hesitent at first but i let her do it. I get called again, the clutch went out. Luckly she works for a dealership chain and takes the car there, turns out that thanks to Discount tire overtorquing my wheels all 4 hubs are stripped, so new hubs later, the flywheel is shattered, clutch is gone, throw out bearing disenigrated, and to top it all off the rear main seal is leaking bad. so at the audi stealership she sits. im dreading a steep bill but because my wife is an employee they cut her a deal, i only have to pay 600 bones for all the work and parts, they didnt have the clutch in stock so my wife ordered a lightened fly wheel and performance clutch to have put in car should be back soon. sorry so long, just had to vent cuz whenn it rains it poors and where im at i couldnt do anythig about it.
i present my arms to u soldier and fellow audi owner. at least ur only paying 600 for work and parts man. that's one thing less u gota take care of when u get back. dont' wry man it will always work out for the best. and my best regards to u
hey thanks alot. sorry it was long i had to vent my wife is a service manager for honda, subaru, mazda dealership in cali, so at least she had some connections, i already had a ton of parts waiting in my living room when i get back to get put on, so she understands.
it should be out of the shop this week, one of the audi techs their is a friend of the family so hes been working on it off the clock. discount tire is going to pay me for the wheel hubs because they admit it was their mistake when they tightened them.
good looking man. good thing u got an auditech working on it cuz i wouldn't trust though jap dealerships with an audi lol. ewll good luck with evrything and hope ur car is in great shape when u get back. make sure u tell the wife to fill car up with gas frequently lol.
yeah tell me about it, right before we deployed i was pricing the labor and top change a clutch through the dealership was about 1600 bucks. so im definatly happy. her car is gonna be in the shop awhile, from the accident but her dealership hooked her up with a new rx8 to get back and forth to work and daycare. so everything is slowly working out cant wait to get home 3 more months left here. thanks for the support.
