Hey everybody I found an offer for s4 coilovers off of a 2000 TQM for $700. I have a 96 2.8 Q. Was wondering if they would fit. the guy said they will fit any b5 a4.

those are h&r coilovers. if you put s4 coilovers on a a4 they will fit but the ride will be stiffer then if you got the same coilovers for an a4 because a s4 is heavier then an a4. has a larger motor.

 

Well they should fit any QUATTRO B5.

The spring rate would be pretty stiff if you had a 1.8. You would suffer from stiff bounciness, which imho is better than soft bounciness. However, since you have the v6 2.8, you should be fine.

 

oops missed that you have a v6. then it wont be as bad. i prefer a stiffer ride anyways.

 

yep got the quattro...let me ask you this..would you do it in my place if they came for $700 shipped? vs upwards of $1000 for the a4 set? they have about 20,000 miles on them and the guys says no leaks
