this is why i havent been on for months you guys are just ******* ********. i ask a ******* question then everyone goes off like they are top ******* dog, LMAO HEHEHE its really ******* funny to ask a question... and what if i know a guy who would put the engine in for me so basicly 3k for engine and 1.5k for tranny is alot ******* cheaper then 20+k for a good s4... you guys need to grow the **** up, its like you get a hard on for talking **** to people you dont know..

the avager price for a 1999 2.8 is about 13,000 - 15,000
then the engine is about 3000 to 4500 + tranny 1500 = 4500
the u gotta add in labor which might cost ya, unless u can do it yourself
with labor it might cost as much or even more then the price of a normal S4 which is aroun 20000 to 25000

Panda,I already stated why someone would do this. There is about a 700pd weight dif between my car and a S4. If i were to get a used s4 engine/trans,wireing harness. Ran ko4s, i would have a high 10sec car when i was done. Does any of this make sence to you? When your done, you may have spent the same amount of cash. Just the 2.7tt A4 is running high 10s,but the 25k 2.7tt s4 is running low 14s. Comprende?

from audi a 2002 S4 B5 manual: 3593
the 2001 2.8 quattro manual: 3384
that extra 209 pounds doesnt it come from the engine and the extra goods the S4 has
doesnt it have better brakes, suspension and a better differencial
i doubt that extra 209 pounds will slash 4 secs
i kno your a weight freak
