Has anyone attempted this themselves? The thing is, after receiving a qoate from my body shop (2650) for repairing the car I bidded on ebay thinking I could just get an S4 bumper for nearly the same price as the A4 new. I had two different appraisers tell me that I needed a bumper. Then the adjust writes the repair for 1400. Wow! I hit the ceiling! I have so upset with those bastards. I have had five estimates done and three call to replace the bumper. Anyway, now I am looking at buying a bumper that I can not afford to put on my car. I also bought the side panels and fender as well as fog lights. Total cost is 1200.00. Then I got to get the things painted and put on the car. I was hoping to be able to get a chip and tip chip but that is no longer in my sights.
Any ideas?
I have thought about just having the bumper repaired and having the entire bumper painted to enclude the plastic part...
