s4 suspension...upgrade for sport a4??

RE: s4 suspension...upgrade for sport a4??
why wouldn't it? Not that I would try but I would think it would be the same to take apart as any A4/S4. I can say that I have S4 shocks on my A4 and they fit fine (granted they are Koni shocks for an S4 that were revalved at True Choice, in Columbus Ohio), and the Springs are for an A4 1.8t (Neuspeed part numbers are the same for a 1.8t and a 2.8 when it comes to Race Springs, what they don't tell you is the front is a 2.25 drop not a 2. Love the rake).
But back to what I was saying and that is, any part from an S4 suspension wise should fit right on to an A4 with no problems, but others are right in saying that it is a bad idea. The spring rates are not worth it, it will lift not lower the car, the rebound is not that much better in the stock S4 shocks, and over all it is possible to get some nice aftermarket parts for about the same price.
But I could be wrong.
Enjoy,

RE: s4 suspension...upgrade for sport a4??
how is it differnt? is the sway bar longer? (not thicker, but longer)
Is the control arms, longer? is the toe off set?
How is it differnt? Please explain. Spring rate and shock differance doens't count. But again my Koni's are for an S4 and they fit just like stock, so I know for a fact the shocks are no differnt. As far as springs if the shocks fit then the springs must also. Also if the shocks and springs fit then control arms must have the same placment. So in all, if the shocks springs, and control arms are the same, then I don't see how the S4 is any diffrent then the A4.
I know they are diffrent cars in the matter of motors and price but for parts most of the S4 parts will fit the A4 just as the A4 parts will fit the S4. My point was that for the price it is better to go with a true aftermarket part like Koni vs. a stock S4 sport shock. I could be wrong on all this and my car might be ready to fall apart but it hasn't yet and I don't think it will. So please I must have misunderstood how you were saying the S4 is diffrent then the A4. If I misread your post sorry. But I am all ways looking to learn some new facts about Audi and this is an area that I might have been misimnformed, or I might not have been.
