Hi, let's say i have about $15k. There are: to buy an a4 (b5, most likely 1.8t) fro about 10K and spend about 2k more intro a car. The other way is to buy s4 (b5), i'm sure that for this money i wouldn't buy s4 with less than 80k miles. I don't need a super fast car, a stock s4 is perfect for me.
The question is: what would you do? Is it better to look for s4 with 80k +more, or for a4 with about 60k (smaller price).

go for the S4. i wish i had. but hey. my car makes me smile. either would work great tho. i got my A4 with 99k miles on it. you have a ways to go before mileage is an issue.

 

insurance is also a thing to consider because an s4 will most likely cost a lot more than the a4 to insure

 

i'd say spend the money on an a4, and your gonna need the 5k for maintance

there's gonna be dings, and clicks and lights that are gonna need tending to...

get a chip and exaust with the rest, and you'll be happy.

if worst come to worst, and you feel the extreme need to go mach 1, then upgrade to a bt...

The problem is as always- money!!! I mean i don't want any really huge upgrades into A4 or S4. But for sure, S4 is the "man"!!!!
As i said, stock s4 covers all my needs. Of course, it depends if the car will be in a good condition when i buy it, but in overall, i don't want to spend a lot of money into it.
P.S. I called my insurance company, they said if it is gonna be on my name, it is about $640, if on someone elses's name from my family (who is over 21 or so) about $250 for 6 months. How much do you pay fro your insurance?
