Sad day for the A4....
Hey guys -
Well 7 months ago i got the best graduation present ever. A black on black 2005 Audi A4 Special Edition. In the past 7 months i've put 15,000 miles on it and absolutely fallen in love with it. 3 days ago i got the windows tinted 35% all around and it looked extremely sexy. Well today my mom takes my car out to get groceries and on her way back, falls asleep at the wheel. She coasted off the 2 lane road, clipped a park semi and flipped the A4. Totaling it. Thank god Audi makes a good car, my mom walked away with a sore back and chest and a few cuts and scrapes. The car is gone. I managed to recover about 1500 dollars worth of R/C equipment out of my trunk but everything else was gone. I'm extremely thankful my mom is alright because it could have been much worse, but now I am really down over my car. Just wanted to vent a bit and thought this was a good place to do it. Now its a long road dealing with insurance and paper work but I dont think i'll feel the same behind a different Audi. Theres something about your first car/Audi and growing attached to it - I'm sure every single one of you guys know this feeling and what i'm talking about.

Sorry to hear about your mom. Cars can always be replaced. People can't. It will all work out, just make the next car even better than the first one.

Glad your old lady's unscathed. . . . . . I have never understood the sleeping behind the wheel thing though, I went three days without sleep (no drugs) just to get to the other side of Australia & I was fine. Has anyone had it happen to them? Really sorry about your car though man... it blows, but thankful mum's ok.
