Well guys,I was driving last night with kids in the car and all of a sudden the oil light comes on and i hear this loud rapping noise comin from the engine,Funny thing was that i wasnt beating it at all i had my kids in there,Was at night and i just had the oil changed last week,AND PUT SYNTHETIC IN IT!!!!!!!!
Sounds like a spun bearing,Im gonna have the place that changed the oil(Where i work at )and see whats up,Checked the oil level and it was full........What should i do?,Any other possibilities?....Ill keep evryone informed

 

You might have sludge. How many miles on your car?

 

Possible oil pump failure. That'll suck.

 

Cars got 66,000 miles on it,No problems till last night

what causes engine sludge and how do you know if you have it?

 

Yea it sounded even worse last night(lol),Ill get in the shop today and drop the pan and see what goodies i find....I let ya guys know

 

Overheated oil can become sludge.You might feel it on the inside of the valve cover.

Sounds like a bad oil pump. Hope you're not driving it anymore, that'll destroy the motor real quick.
