is it safe to wire a subwoofer to the fuse panel?
10" Powered sub...there were 2 power wires....i wired both of them to different 30 amp spots on the fuse panel.. The sub works perfectly...but is that safe for the longrun?

low draw items like small lights and guages and conections having to do with the controling wire of any high draw item will be ok to put on there. It is just not a good idea to pull more than a few amps from the alread loaded down fues box. What you have sounds like maybe an amp or two, no big prob.
for proper operation u will need to wire it directly to the batterie with an inline fuse. just buy an amp wireing kit, any car audio store will carry them and they range from 50-100 bucks depending on the length and guage size of the wires. the ground wire can go anywhere though just scrape the surface to ensure a good connection. the best place to run a wire through the firewall is by the hood release cable, theres a rubber grommet there that you can just cut a small hole in and then u wont need to woeey aboyut the wire rubbing any metal and getting cut. just my 2 cents
