sorry to keep this draging guys. I bought my cable off of e-bay so needless to say its not the real vag cable but I guess the software the same. I really don't know I owned a jetta before this. it accepted a normal obd scanner that all I really needed. So any ways I don't know if its the connector in the car or if its my imitation vag cable and software.[:@]

 

Either the cable driver software isnt intalled or you didnt set up the com ports right.... Or both.

 

What version of the software are you using?

 

The vag software says com port status ok interface status-3 not found or not ready. the version is 409.1

 

CHECK YOUR COM PORTS IN WINDWOS AND MAKE SURE THE PORT THAT YOUR VAG CABLE IS ON IS SET THE SAME AS WHAT VAG IS SET TO. And are theh drivers for the cable even installed??????????/

 

Also try a lower version (I think it is 3.11). Not sure the 4.09 will work with the non-vag system. Just my guess.
