Default Seat warmer too hot.

2001 A4 1.8TQ with 126,000 Km. The driver seat is too hot to sit on even if the setting is at 1. Anyone know what could be the problem?

Default Do not turn it on!!!!

There is a short in the system. Happened to a co-worker's Brand new A6 and set fire to the seat. Needless to say, after the fire department finished with his car, he declined further purchases of Audi products.

Don't know what the actual problem is. Could be the rheostat in the switch giving full power at 1. Time to pull out the wiring diagrams and a voltmeter.
