Default Secondary Fan

Ok so my a/c doesn't work while the car isn't moving. it only blows out warm air. but when im moving the a/c works fine. i popped the hood and realized the fan on the left (when your facing the engine) isn't moving at all. thats the secondary fan right? and that would cause this problem right? if im right then how do you fix the secondary fan?

could have jsut taken a crap. or check connections.

hmm. im trying to think of a way you can check the wires running to it without cutting your hand off in the procrss. ill take a look where the wires are comming from. if its easily accessable without sticking your hands in the belts, id suggest taking a volt meter and seeing if you read anything. if you do, ur fna is toast. if not, then check your wires as far as you can.

EDIT@!!!!: haha...ya...scratch that. i just checked it out. bad idea. lol.

Oh..good question. well all i can suggeest is to tracy the wires back...with your engine off lol. Its gotta connect somewhere. you also may need to take some things off. id suggest, if it getshairy and your front bumper ends off, take it in. lol
also, check out a Haynes book. its got everything

That should also be connected to your AC belt if I remember correctly from my timing belt install. check to make sure its really on there.

On a side note, what kinda shop did your repair work? I know my insurance doesn't use Audi dealers or mechanics... which can lead to dicey knowledge of the tech.
