Hello everyone,

I have a line on a private deal for a 1999 Audi A4 1.8T for $2000.00. It seems like an excellent deal as the condition is outstanding, however there is an issue. After changing the battery the owner cannot get the car to exceed 6 miles/hr or 1500 rpm by either driving or reving the engine. Does anyone have any idea of where to start looking as I would really like to get into this car for this price and I don't mind spending a little cash and sweat equity to get it running properly if it is something not too severe. Your help is greatly appreciated.
