I've heard conflicting opinions about the difficulty of replacing the turbo. Most people on this forum says its not too hard, but others I have talked to say its more complicated. The only thing I have ever done to my car is oil changes.

 

it pretty damn complicated. me and Doose did a wirte up on it in the general tech section. you have to change the number of posts shown b/c it will not show up

 

Its not that hard, I did it in 2 full days.

Ok here is an idea... I will trade you for my 96 A4 2.8QM White with dark gray leather.. Aftermarket stereo.. tip top shape.. 2.8 is the most reliable of engines. I offer this trade because this way you can stay in the audi family and not worry about having to pay out the *** for maintenance. Just food for thought. Let me know maybe we can work out a deal.

 

you can find a used K03 anywhere for like $100.00 max and 60K do u plan on doing the timing belt now ?

 

Yeah, I was going to do the timing belt this summer as well, along with the 60,000 mi service, but I was going to have a mechanic do it. Thanks for the offer, but I love my car. If I stay with Audi, I'll just keep mine.

 

u can put a hold on the timing belt till after summer just don't leave it too long i've heard lots of people doing it at 70,000

 

without fixing the turbo that might be one of your best offers...
