Well guys I'm pretty fed up with my car's relibility (or complete lack-thereof) so I'm really considering selling it. The only thing is I'd want to replace it with something equal or better because I do love my car. I'm not interested in another Audi- sorry but the brand is just constantly leaving a bad taste in my mouth. The KBB value of my car is something like 11k private and 9k trade in. What are some compareable cars you guys would suggest? I really prefer German/Euro cars but I'm open to Japanese simply because of the increased reliability. I simply cannot afford to have a car that's in the shop one weekend a month (unless it's for upgrades). I'm a BMW guy so I was looking at E36s (325 and 328s), what do you guys think?

What are you talking about? Ive never heard of an Audi with reliability issues???

Ive been driving the $h!tt out of my car for an year now and the only time my car was in the workshop was for servicing. Its a 97tqm and i think its very reliable.

 

Guys- I appreciate the comments but the fact is my cars reliability isn't in question, and there's no need to insult my competance. I don't mean to bash the brand so no need to get defensive, I was merely saying that my experience with it has left me cold. If I had the means I'd buy a new A4/S4/RS4 in a heartbeat but no more used Audis for me. So help a brother out. I was a happy A4 owner for a few years (and at this rate I will be for a while) what other cars have A4 owners been happy with?

And just for the record- I have gone above and beyond the call of duty for maintenance.

 

Anything toyota will be great, but boring. I got rid of my last toyota at 320K miles.

How about a Lexus IS 250?

 

I was just about to suggest the same, either a lexus or an infiniti.

if you're not in the price range of a new one, IS300's are sweet cars, as are the G35 coupes and sedans. can't get much more reliable than toyota and nissan.

 

Lexus IS300 - Honda S2000

 

that's 2 different classes of car right there. the lexus is a 4 door, while the honda is a 2 seat roadster.

both excellent cars, and good choices, but I doubt he'll be looking to replace his daily driver A4 with an S2000.

 

Um, IDK. What I wanted was an S2000 instead of the Audi. The Audi was much cheaper though (for my old B5 anyways). Now I am a big fan of the Audi, but when the price of S2Ks come down a little more, that doesn't mean I wouldn't pick one up. Should be fun car if you don't have a family and a need for all kinds of room. Perfect daily driver for me.

Anyway, IS300 or G35is sweet. The BMWs are nice though I think there are just too many around so I wouldn't get one.
How about an Acura TSX?
