the service light is set to come on every 10k miles. so let me refresh, ur service light is on now? how bout CEL? u can reset he service light urself, the CEL needs to be scanned by a OBDII scanner or vag com. and when u asked "do it again" do u mean change ur oil again after 20k miles? the answer would be hell yes. oil should be changed evry 4-5k miles with full synthetic oil.

o that light is to mess with people's head and then they take it to the dealership and then they rape u. that may sound sarcastic but i am totally serious. if u don't do ur own oil changes, at least check the oil dipstick after ur car has been serviced. i think u should start doing ur own oil changes because it's alot easier on our cars compared to some others.

I do my own oil changes the dealer ship just did it when they got the car i drained it and put full synthetic in it lol. I was just wondering if i needed belts or anything checked with that light on. Also this may sound dumb but this is my first manuel and after the car has been run hard the clutch smells horrible even my friend said it smelt horrible is that because the clutch could be wearing out or bad shifting (wasnt me driving)? is it bad for the car?

well you should do the timing belt within the next 5 to 10 thousand miles, if you dont do it yourself, im sure they will try and sell you on a big service but its up to you what you think you need out of their sales spiel.
