I know a question this stupid will inevitably mark me as a noob, but since I am a noob, why not?

On a 97 A4, how the heck do you set the digital clock in the display sandwiched between the tach and the speedometer?

...and before anyone replies with a RTFM, I've ordered one, it just isn't here yet. I'm OCD enough that having the clock eight hours off is bugging the crap out of me.

 

The small ***** on the display. You pull/press one of them to start the clock blinking - means you can set it. Then turn the **** to increment the number, and press the **** again to move to the next part to set. press the **** repeatedly until the display stops blinking and the clock is set.

 

I don't know how it is in the 97. But in my '01 the clock is at the bottom of the tach and I have 2 ***** between the tach and speedo. To set the clock I have to pull the left **** out and the hour will start flashing then just turn it to the proper number. Then I just keep pulling on the **** untill everything stops blinking.

 

Okay... I'm an idiot. It's not a clock. It's a trip timer.
