I have a 2000 A4 and have had 4 replacements of the same wheel bearing. The car has very low mileage (80,000) and I can't figure out why there are so many problems with this bearing . It may be my repair shop (Goodyear Tire), but they have been very reputable and honest with me throughout the life of the car. I just had this bearing replaced yesterday after only 8,000 miles.

Anybody help me out with a suggestion? I just hate to give the dealership the business on an out-of warantee vehicle.

Hey man. I can somewhat sympathize. I replaced both of mine about a year ago and now the right passenger side bearing is bad again. I hate that it isn't a job I can do myself (no press), so it requires taking it somewhere.
