i remember seeing that before... and even the second time i creamed my pants lol... thats just a beautiful setup. though as someone mentioned onthe previous page, i wonder if it would be possible to do a dual 1.8t motor setup to get 8 cylinders lol

 

That sign says it only makes 714ps which is about 700hp. I was expecting at least 800hp or a little more. Makes 640ft/lbs for torque. Does anyone know what turbos those are?

 

ummm, so im pretty sure that is 2 1.8T engines! look at it. look at how the hoses oing into em are oriented, reverse of each other. and y would each 4 cylinders have seperate turbo's that arnt compined at all?

 

Because that's how you do a twin-turbo setup on a V-configuration engine... duh.

have you seen many twin turbo setups? as sean stated earlier, it is a 3.6 V8 from an early 90's Audi V8 (precursor to the A8, and basically a C3 Audi 100 with a bigger engine)


the reason why it probly looks like two 1.8T's, is because it is. it is 2 Golf GTI 1.8L, twin cam, 16-valve inline 4-cylinder engine's mated at the crankshaft.

i wish they woulda used the 4.2L version of that v8, but it was probly too big...

 

oo good points. never knew audi made a smaller V8. but the V* turbo setups i have seen share an intake manifold. it doesnt split off like that
