I did a DIY short shifter... basically cut the stock metal piece one inch shorter. has anyone else done this? is it bad? shifts fine so far.... looks better... and shorter throw for my hand to travel.... I don't trust myself replacing the whole thing so I just went with this for now and will eventually replace the stock for performance... what do you guys think?

if it works they good DIY, but replacing the whole thing is better and its super easy so dont be afraid of it. i did it in the parkinglot of my school

 

what about all of those clips that are gonna fall in the console and will I need a magnet to get them out?

are the ones on ebay aight to get? they seem like they would work just as good its just a piece of metal...

 

i didnt use a magnet just becarefull and dont drop them. its not hard and if you get use an anteni magnet. people say ebay works just fine but i have stratmosphere
