buy a DieselGeek short shifter.. 50 bucks cheaper than a B&M and Neuspeed and it is the #1 choice i have seen on AW and such.. definately your best bet


and KevinA4- it will be shorter but it will be smooth as long as you get a good quality shifter. and your trans is in good shape too of coarse.. but shifting from gear to gear will take a slight bit more effort to do since you are changing the pivot point. it's basic physics

I decided not to make experiments on shifters and just ordered a b&m shifter. So now i'm waiting for it, as soon as I'll get it, of course i will write my impressions.

EBAY.... all short shifters have been tested on our cars and its a PROVEN FACT that the ebay ones are good quality and feel amazing. thats the route I went, and even tho its not installed yet Im not worried one bit, and I cant wait to get that "short shifter" feeling...wooooooooooow it makes the car 100x more exciting to drive.
