Default Should I buy it?

I am looking at a 1999 Audi a4 with 75k miles on it selling for 8k but I am going to try and talk him down to 7,500. I'm not sure if the timing belt has been changed or not, and I am a college student. But I absolutely love this car, its so beautiful from the inside. I know the parts are more expensive, I just dont know how much more expensive and if something does break down what thats going to be.

im in the same boat. college kid, 98 A4 1.8TQM. as long as you take care of it they can go up to 200k no problem. make sure he changed the timing belt tho or tell him he needs to knock a grand off the price cuz ur gona hafta do it really really soon. also might wana do the water pump too. parts are pretty expensive but not too bad. labor is the killer. not everyone can work on the car and the ones that can charge a pretty penny for their services. you defintely picked the right a4. great for modding and fun to drive. when you are talking to the guy ask him what kind of oil and what octane gas he puts in the car. if hes been running synthetic every 5k and premium gas than thats a good sign that the car has been properly maintained. ask if he kept all the service records to the car, things like that.
