ive got an 1999 A4 quattro with a blow off valve and greddy intercooler on the way...im getting it chipped with GIAC ECU, i havn't ordered it yet but im most likley going to...since that would raise my boost should i get a boost controller or dont' i need it... thanks-chris

 

Yeah you can run one on top of the chip, Hows your bov working on the stock setup, if its working well i think morrison could use some hints as to how you adjusted yours.

 

Don't think you are going to just want to slap on a boost controller. Your ECU will have problems keeping up with the A/F ratios.

 

the bov is working fine when i first put it on it stalled about 5 times but then im guessing the stock ecu reconized it and it works great

 

Glad to hear that. Yeah, jesty is right if you do use a boost contoller be smart and dont boost ALOT more then what the chip does, im talking like use 3 of 4psi more. Thats putting alot of stress of the ko3 so you dont want to abuse it that bad.

 

Yeah the k03 is already pushing a lot of boost with a chip. Adding a boost controller could cause a lot of stress on the k03.
