sport suspension must be sick on the b7. My friend has one on stock suspension and that thing is low... the sport would b awsome. Plus, you wont have to lower it wen u throw the 19's on there

Agreed, x10

get the sport supspension, get the manual.

You can drive it like a family car when the wife and kids are with you, just dont tell her what it can really do.

Then she'll wonder why you're always offering to run to the store for stuff.

When you are alone you can be Michael Shumacher.

Love the sport suspension on my B5....our cars get monster-truck syndrome going on stock suspension and small wheels. And yeah, stiffer springs and the same rear swaybar they use on the B5 S4s if i'm not mistaken.

Regarding the tranny...yeah, manual is better, but I really don't think my tip is that bad (despite catching a lot of crap from people). Convenience factor is nice and you can still control your gears. The shifts are slower and its not as fun as slamming the gears home (can't handle a lotta HP mods either) but whatever floats your boat.

Come on guys why are you doin'n this to me I was all set to get the auto now you guys are saying to get the stick Unfortunatly I think it's best to get the auto. My wife will be driving this car just as much as I will be, and she say's she'll probably just burn the clucth out since she hasn't driven a stick in atleast a decade. I would like to eventually add about 100 ponies, so I hope the Tip can handle that, well hopefully a little more.

dont count on it! you'll wanna throw a level 10 tranny on there if you wanna pack on some serious power with the tip. get a 6spd get a 6spd get a 6spd. I understand why you need the tip tho..[&o]

I think if you go with the basic APR/REVO/GIAC chip your auto trans should be fine.
It sounds like you just want to occaisionally have a good time with it. It's not you'll be tracking the thing every other day.
If you chip just make sure to kee the trans fluid nice and clean and replace it more often. That's the main thing with more power and auto trans, the heat.
You can also add a secondary trans fluid cooler if you want added protection. They run under $200 for a quality unit, and you can install it yourself.

If you can, YES go with the manual. However, you're the married guy so you know the "boss" must have her needs met as well.
I like this saying: "If momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy."
My take is: "If momma ain't happy, Daddy get no nappy.", if you know what I'm say'n.

Ladies, no offense intended. We men LOVE you!

I have both a manual and a tiptronic car (actually two tiptronic cars). I actually like the tip. The only problem is when I try to use the clutch with the tiptronic.[&:]
