should I pay or get it for free?
about 3 weeks ago i bought my audi A4 1.8t from www.ramseycorp.com they have great prices. So about a week ago my brake started making noise. They started to sound like when a transit bus is about to make a stop. very loud whistle noise. I havent had time to go back to the dealership because it is 45 mins away from where i live and i had midterm exams at school and work. Tommorow i will be heading over there and hopefully they dont give me the runaround. To make the whole story short i just want some opinions on wether i should get my brakes replaced for free or if they ask me to pay should i pay? Another question what is the cost of replacing the brakes inmy car? (03 audi a4 1.8t) I know thisquestion about brake cost has been posted before buti just need some feedback on wether i should pay for the brake replacement or not? Thanks & peace
Well that's a dumb question.
You're walking down the sidewalk and spot a hundred dollar bill. Do you pick it up, or just keep walking?
Almost any car bought at a dealer comes with usually a minimum of a 30day/1000 mile warranty. Take it back ASAP, and ask them to please fix the brakes for free, because there is a problem and you just bought the car. Dont wait any longer, because then they will try to get out of paying for it.

So you are wondering if you should pay for brakes or not? are you really asking this question? if you dont have to pay why would you? well if you need just pads it shouldnt be to bad but if you are going to replace rotors and everything then you will be spending alot.
good question, in the UK if you bought a car from a garage its their duty to ensure its safe for road use and complies with ours road standards and has a callback of 28 days without loss of cash, you could sue that garage for allowing an unsafe car on the road ( not sure about the USA )
Thanks guys the only reason i asked is because dealerships all suck and one time or another i know most of us will or probably have already encountered some kind of problems with sketchy dealerships. But the place i went to treated me really good and i recommend it to anyone who wants to buy an audi. I got a really good price on mine 03 audi a4 1.8t with 21,000 miles for 16,999
what you should have done is call up an "auto MD" place, or a travelling mechanic to evaluate the used car before you purchased it. the company i called gave me like a 300 item checklist afterward and evaluated everything from the engine to the windshield wipers and control arms...and brakes! probably the best $150 i've ever spent...i won't ever purchase a used car without having evaluated first. carfaxes aren't always up to date and don't provide details....
if anyone would like the name of this company just let me know...i'm located in denver.

I got my A4 from the same dealership, they were very cool, I dont think you should have a problemgetting them to check your car out and having it taking care of. I'd call them first before you head out there though. I was surprise how they let you test drive the cars on your own.
