its a water2air intercooler setup that goes between your s/c and manifold (like V8 guys use). It would be ideal if you can find on that would fit.

Yes I have acquired this much information, what are the diffrences?
What is the likelyhood of me finding one that fits a 2.8, I think the methanol injection is going to be the best method... not that my car is going to have a terrible time racing in the snow seeing how snow is cold and cold is good.
It will make a difference in the races which is ideal, butit will benefit me for my own personal driving which is kind of why I wanted it.
Even my wife told me she thinks my car is to slow now... so I don't need to spend a ton of money on cooling it.

The w2a ic needs far less space to cool the charged air, it reuses all the water/coolent mix over and over. But i dont know what the fitment would require. There should be a core that fits the s/c, but the rest would be custom. Plus can a 1-2" increase in s/c height fit under your hood?

W/m would be ideal since it has far more benifts that would allow you to run more boost than what you are currently. the only drawback is that you just need to refill the bottle.

are the intake runners welded to the g2 supercharger? or can they be separated to put a chargecooler between there?

Not sure but I don't think it is welded...

Yeah I haven't been to enthusiatic about having a bottle to refill... thats why I was looking at IC origionally but if that is the best method then maybe thats what I will do..

cincy- i wouldn't go as far to say he would be able to run more boost than what he is. i know that a guy blew his 30v motor with just 12psi out of his G2. im not entirely sure if it washot, uncooled 12psi air played a part in that, or if he was chemically cooled. but it's a general consensus that 12psi is the limit for the stock 2.8 30v motor.. with a WMI setup, you really should just keep the boost at ~10psi or less. you'll getmorepower, and more consistant powerout of that same psi with WMI and you'll have a great peace of mind that things will be safe.. i wonder, can you lemmitweak the 30v? i don't see why not

and chaos- i do believe that the runners are welded as one to the charger. but i could be wrong..

if you do use a water/air charge cooler, you're going to need a custom hood to clear the raised charger unit..

its going to depend on the internals, but having cooler temps would severly reduce knock along with it increasing the octane rating. 2-3more psi is all i was talking about. Not sure if they have a pulley for that or not. 12psi non-ic vs 15psi w/ w/m should be about the same as far as strain on the motor and probably safer with meth.

Coming from turboing non turbo cars, the iat's play a huge part of how much psi the stock internals can run.

you can't fit anything between the sc and hood. unless you want to put a scoop or something else weird just be happy with what you have or find someone with a G1 set up and trade if you are set on it. go to www.scaudi.com that is where the real sc people are. they will tell what i just did all the same. your call. but i think you are going to have to go injection.

I have seen a few methanol injection kits that wouldn't require me to change the hood... and I already have a carbon fiber the is raised up a bit higher then the stock hood... and there are only a few things left on my engine that are stock.

i was just reading that, something about the rings staying at the top of the piston and ended up blowing a chunk off one...

yeah thats what i thought too

would look sick as hell
