Default Simple Brake Question

I have an 06' B7, Quattro, Tip, Sport suspension.
I have Audi OEM brakes, and approx. 1,500 miles on the car.

The brakes suck.

Well. They're fine.
But based on the fact that I've increased the, "Go" on the car - now I would definitely like to increase the, "Stop".

What are one's best options for this dilemma and this model Audi?
BBK, an outstanding (inexpensive) brand of brake pad, other?

I'm not looking to drop the 0-70 brake distance from 165ft to 130ft and rename it a porsche, but I need better than OEM. Definitely.

Please advise if you're familiar with brakes and the best bang-for-your-buck when it comes to stopping swiftly.

Thanks!!

Braided lines. Upgraded rotors and pads. Otherwise you will have to spend big bucks. Unless the A8 rotor upgrade works for the B7 too.

I should have added a few details.

1. Lease. Only 2 months into a 3yr lease, but still......a lease.
2. I have never touched a brake pad, a brake line, a rotor, or a caliper while working on a car.
3. On a skill-level for auto repair or replacement, I'd give myself a 3 out of 10.
4. I'm cheap.

Brakes are easy to do I would say a 2 on a scale from 1 to 10.
Disc brakes are almost impossible to screw up when you do them.

If you're leasing I would put on, OEM size Powerslot rotors (or any other perfromance rotor) and a good set of pads (Mintex, Hawk, etc.).

Okay. Definitely appreciate that advice.....we're heading in the right direction.

If it were YOUR car (and my wallet) what brand do you throw on?

There aren't any replacement rotors available in the size you need for the B7.
More aggressive pads are available from us from mild to track.
The brake system in general on the B7 is quite good, as it's the same setup used on the S4's which are considerably more go than the A4's.

You can shorten stopping distances with more aggressive pads and better tires.

Just changed the tires off and put Kumho ECSTA SPT's on.
They're MUCH better than the OEM Goodyear Eagle LS-2 garbage that comes stock.

So.....I guess I need some sticky pads.

Mike, can you please PM me a price for 2 different sets of pads that you think would get the job done.
I make the drive to Murrieta area bi-monthly and you're close enough for me to possibly make a visit.

My typical routine:
I drive approx. 90mph to and from work, every day on the 5/405.
Don't track the car.
Jump from stoplight to stoplight like an idiot.
Occasionally head through the twisties and usually rely heavily on braking to save the poor TIP.

Thanks!

70-0 is more of the tire then braking system
your car has S4 calipers but smaller rotors but still big
you have a good braking system
its just the wieght and the tires of the car

The tires are good.
Way grippier than the previous set.
I know that the weight of the car is working against me, but I'm determined to get more grab when I'm on the brakes.
I'm not talking about full-on, stand on the brake, type of stops.
I'm talking about less brake fade and better brake feel overall.
