Default Simple Upgrades

Reading so many posts & profiles, looking at some awesome ride's pics ... All I can say is DAAANG !!! ....
You guys are amazing. The way you have tweaked yr rides, I can't even imagine. And sometimes all those terms you talk in, I really don't get it.
Anyway, All I could think of for my Audi is some common and simple upgrades. especially exterior.
And for that I have some questions, and hope to get some help once again.
# 1
I've been looking to put Xenon HID kit in my 2001 A4. I've seen so many kits online and on the website, they all look neat. I can't decide if they are really any good.
I'm sure alot of you must have put some real good kits in there. Let me know guys which one is the best one. And also the type (6000K or 8000K) ets. I was thinking of putting HID kit in the low beam and some white Nokya or any brand bulbs for Hi beam, and the fog light.
# 2
The 15" stock wheels look kinda too tiny. What is the best in wheels out there. I sold my 3000GT before I got this puppy, had American Racing Rims in there. But did'nt like it too much after a while. Any other alternative.
# 3
I dunno if I'm gonna put the body kit on it. But anyway, good to have some info if I look into it. But then again there are all kinda imitations out there. Is there any good website that sell these kits.
I know one thing for sure, that I will get it chipped from APR, pretty much simple for somone like me. Rest needs alot of experience that I need from you all.....
Everything and all upgrades depend on how much budget my wife would let me spend.
Many thanks !!!

#1 www.oemhid.com is a very popular kit...i wouldn't go higher than 8K, but thats just me..some people put 12Ks in theirs..

#2 RS4 replica wheels are very popular, fairly cheap, easy to find, and look pretty sweet on the B5

#3 rieger makes a pretty good body kit...for a subtle body kit you can look into S4 lowers

What bent said about the rs4 replicas. Check ebay for them. Also you should look into painting your lowers instead of a body kit if your on a budget.

I wouldn't worry about the tranny fluid. Oil filter: Mann or Bosch.

Anything over 6000k for the hids is mainly visual. More of a blueish tint to it and the higher you go the more purple it get and the lower the lighting intenstiy gets. I think its around 5600k that has the highest output intensity. A guy on audizine sells these these kits that many people get and are happy with them. I think they come with some sort of warranty too, dont quote me on that. HID

Wheels, rs4 reps are one of the most popular wheels that still looks OEM. BBS are awsome but gotta have some cash for those. Body kits, reiger. Stay away from fiberglass, try to get ABS plastic. Most of the good expensive body kits are made of a durable plastic.

Go to Home Depot and get yourself two cans of spray on lacquer, one black, and one clear.

2-3 coats of black lacquer will give you a "smoked" look, then 1-2 coates of clear coat over top
4-5 coats of black will give you a "blacked out" look, then 1-2 coates of clear coat

it looks awesome and it's alot cheaper than buying replacement tails, and it looks 10x better than those plastic covers
