Thats right...im so excited. 2001 A4 1.8TQ 5-speed with sport package. Sliver exterior with cream/brown interior. 38k miles. I already have the modding bug but have 2 years left on the warranty. I guess I am limited to exhaust and intake for now??? Eventually I will upgrade to a KO4, chip, HID's, snub mount, maybe even lower the car a little more. Any other performance mods that wont void the warranty for the time being?

I wanted to talk to someone who was knowledgable(sp) about that. I heard that the GIAC was undetectable by Audi...is this true? and if i upgrade the turbo they can obviously just see it. so i am not sure how to go about modding. any help is appreciated.

 

You could buy an additional ECU from a junk yard/ebay and have it chipped. Then when ever you have to go in for service swap the ECU's. The dealer will most likely notice a K04 if they test drive your car. One of the chips can be turned off, can't remember which one though.

 

any idea how much an a4 ecu would run me from the junk yard?

Do a search for some junk yards, then give them a call. When you call tell them you found it cheaper some place else and make them bargain with you.
