Default Siren location

I'm trying to find the location of the alarm siren so I can change it. After looking through the service manual under alarm system it basically says "see central locking system" but its not even there. I searched the threads and found nothing. I know its somewhere in the left rear of the car, well thats where it sounds like its located. Is there another term used or does someone have a diagram, description, pic, anything I could use to find this thing? Its a for a 98.

sometimes its in the scuttle panel area below the windshield and in most cases "US" its in the rear trunk area near the fuel filler neck or the other side behind the carpeting, a simple replacement of a piezo speaker works

type in "pizo" for your search on Google images

Driver's side rear quarter panel, near where the CD changer would be.

It only gives a modest noise. Not as loud as a horn.

Yea,

When you hit the panic button on the B6's, it's a Joke... If someone was trying to mug me, and I hit the panic button, they would probably start laughing.... [:@]

I found it under the trunk lining on the left on some bracket. It looks so small and puny. Anyways I bought this suppossedly "loud" 120dp siren...120dp and replaced it...120dp my a$$!!! Its even weaker than the original. I should have known from the box it came in...looked like some made in china knock-off you find in a 99 cent store, what a piece of s%!t![:@] Anyways now I'm looking for a real loud siren again. Eventually I'm gonna install this anti-theft system that been tested and proven to have ZERO thefts. I'll let you guys know the details after its done.

Maybe you should try an original alarm siren. That should bring the noise right up to where it was new.
