Default Slight jerk/jolt on inital acceleration

From a standing start, has anyone encountered a slight jerk/jolt on inital acceleration?
This only happens from a standing start...no matter how I lightly touch the acceleration pedal, I can't take off smoothly.
It's as though something is sticking!

Any suggestions?

Vehicle:
2001 A4 1.8T with Tiptronic
North American model

Thanks!

does anyone think it has to do with the drive by wire system?

It's hard to say egrbgr. Could be the transmission, could be DVB, could be an tiptronic ecu problem.

The car can accelerate while rolling really well thanks to the Upsolute chip.
I also have installed a Turbosmart DV/BOV, however this did not solve the problem.

When I start off, I feel like I'm giving everyone in the car whiplash, including myself!

Unfortunately, the engine light has not come on, therefore no fault codes are present.

I wonder if the throttle positioning may be off or a pedal issue?

I don't think it's the transmission because the car accelerates and decelerates without a problem and the rpm tach follows it too.

Ehh CEL does not mean a code hasn't been thrown. A CEL comes on primarily for emmissions.

You can get all kinds of codes with no CEL displayed.
