where did you drive it, and if not at an audi dealer, then there could be something up that would make it slower. Don't by if thats what you were driving it for untile its looked at by a pro.

Have you ever driven one you know wasn't broken before? If you have no frame of reference, then let me make this clear. A4s are F*CKIN SLOW. With you in it, it weighs about 3450lbs. It has 150 horsepower. A manual version does the quarter mile in about 16 seconds. The automatic version has never had empirical data gathered on its acceleration, because no one has had the patience to run it down the quarter mile, or those that have are ashamed to publish the information they gathered.

Sorry to keep shattering this facade that Audis are all monstrous autobahn stormers.

* 0-60 mph in seconds:
Front-wheel drive, automatic: 9.1
Front-wheel drive, manual: 8.0
quattro®, automatic: 9.8
quattro®, manual: 8.1
* EPA fuel economy estimates (mpg) - city/highway:
Front-wheel drive, automatic: 21/30

You know, Panda, I don't think they'd exaggerate this kind of claim. Besides, how much worse could it possibly be? I was thinking maybe 8.7 or so, but basically 10 seconds 0-60 is atrocious. I doubt there was anything wrong with the car you drove, Persmacky. My car probably does about 7 seconds even, and it seems slow to me. I can't even imagine how slow that car must have been. My mom's Prius goes 0-60 in 9.1. Hahahaha.

Get a manual, or, failing that, get a chip. Mileage is the same, power is waaaaaaaaaay better, and it's cheap and easy. The stock manual one is slow, but it will outstrip first-gen Miatas and most good cyclists.
