Default Smell/whispy smoke

Hi all...I'm not really good with anything under the hood so hopefully someone can help me or shoot me some ideas here. I recently bought a 1999.5 A4 2.8Q. It runs great except for one minor problem. After driving a while (15-20 minutes) there is a definite smell when I stop at a stop sign or light. When I get home and pop the hood after smelling this there is always a faint white smoke rising from where the oil goes. I've taken this into my mechanic to have checked out and he said he changed all the seals and the smell should be gone after a few more hours of driving. Well, its been about a week and the problem remains...Anyone know what could be wrong...maybe an idea I could throw out to my mechanic to check for? Thanks for any help!

PS. My mechanic isn't some bum that doesn't know his way around an audi, he works strictly on Euro cars, so I think this must be something that isn't too common.

Default RE: Smell/whispy smoke

I had a similar problem. The valve cover bolts came loose and a little oil leaked out.
