Default Smoke

Well, im in college now for summer session, and i went to my car today, after it was sitting for about 4-5 days i started her up today. I know she was burning some oil, but i always check and fill as needed, which isnt much. But when i gave it some gas to back up, lots of smoke came out the back, and it smelled like oil, this continued when i reved the engine. But not when i just drive. Afer the car was hott, i reved it again, and still smoke, not as bad but it was still there. Am i looking at a bad head gasket, or piston rings?? And cost etc.

black smoke... most likely the rings.
you shouldn't really be burning too much oil up with that engine in the first place.... and since the smoke gets a little better after warm up, that's probably just because after the engine has gotten to norm-opp-temp the pistons have expanded to there norm-opp-temp size.....

i would recomend (if you are not planning on re-building it yourself) to buy a new long block and have that dropped in.

Blue white. I was think maybe it was condensation, or just water, w/e but no way. I didnt really notice it too much tonight, but explain why i would want a long block?

It also still misfires, but if the rings are worn that might cause it yah?

If it misfires, you need to find out which cylinders are misfiring and rule out bad coil packs, spark plugs, etc before you start talking about bad head gaskets/piston rings/needing a long block(??)

A long block is a full lower engine assembly,...Block, crank, conrods and pistons, etc. Your mechanicals below the head.
