Default Smoking taillight reverse strips

Because I needed a new taillight for the side that got side swiped I have a mismatch in color between the white reverse strips on the tail light. I seen a member having them smoked. to a dark color. Any one have an idea how to go about that?

A4thequattro did it and common sense suggests that he masked off what he wanted to smoke and used the smoke spray paint stuff.

I did a search, couldnt find anything on that, Ive seen a lot of people using the spray stuff. Unless that is the only method to smoke lights.

if are able to use a paint gun then all you have to do it get regular black paint and then just thin it out alot and put reallly light coats on it until you get it to the darkness you want
